Two years ago, a moment featuring her son Christopher Levy took the family by surprise when he nearly lost his life in an accident.

According to Theluxonomist, it was October 2020 when the 16-year-old boy overturned while driving a golf cart in Weston, Florida, United States. According to the information, Christopher was traveling in the company of two friends when, when going through a curve at high speed, the vehicle turned over.

Messages of support

The accident was so serious that the teenager was trapped under the car and had to be rescued quickly with the assistance of a medical helicopter. As for the other victims, they were also referred to a hospital.

The one who showed his concern and support from the beginning was his father, William. Through his social networks, he frequently asked for prayers for his son and for the boys in the accident.

“Thank you to everyone who, without knowing us, prays for our son Christopher as a family. May God heal Christopher and the other boys completely and quickly. With God all things are possible and He protects his servants who cry out to him,” he wrote in a post shared on October 7, 2020.

He continued: “Christopher is a child of faith. We know that God was there with him and the other children and we have nothing but words of gratitude to God who never fails us. May He heal Christopher so he can continue to be a shining light on the baseball field. And in all areas of life.

Lastly, he wrote a sentence addressed to his little boy, with whom he used to share his experiences on the same social network. “Every time Christopher shines on the field, he thanks God and honors him and inspires others to do good and have faith in God the way he does. He's a leader. May you always have the wisdom to use God's blessings to bless others."

Advances in recovery

After a few months, the actor continued to inform his more than nine million followers about the state of his son's health. In addition, he confirmed that he was advancing "giant" steps. In this context, it was Christopher himself who reappeared on his social networks after the episode and thanked his family, friends and fans for their support.

“Go ahead in life with a twinkle in your eye and a smile on your face. The precious thing we have is life itself. Thank you all for keeping up with everything I went through. I appreciate your good wishes”, he stated on December 20, 2020 in the company of an image of him smiling.

Regarding the consequences of the accident on the young man, it was learned that he suffered serious injuries to his legs. He had to be operated on three times.

Finally, after a lengthy rehabilitation, Christopher was able to walk normally again and the family took a breather after their difficult time.

The day that William Levy spoke of his childhood in Cuba

It is not the only moment in which the actor expressed through his social networks the hard stages he lived through in his life. Also on Instagram, Levy referred to his childhood in Cuba and revealed that he was abandoned by his father when he was little.

“Although I had a beautiful childhood in Cuba, I must say that it was not the best. With only a quarter of a chicken per person per month, one bread per person per day and limited food rations, I was always hungry, ”he commented excitedly with the addition of a video of his life in that country.

“We didn't have luxuries,” says William Levy

He added, “We didn't have luxuries like toothpaste, so we used charcoal and baking soda. We would put socks together to make a baseball and play without shoes. With creativity and ingenuity we always find a way to persevere.”

Lastly, he thanked the countries where he has lived and emphasized his fans. “Thank you God, thank you the United States, thank you Mexico, thank you Latin America and thank you to all my fans around the world for giving me so much love and making the dreams of that little Cuban boy come true,” said William Levy.

Currently, the actor is undoubtedly triumphing with the telenovela Café con aroma de mujer, the strip that this weekend reached second place among the most watched shows on Netflix in Argentina. Continuing on the road to success, today William is fully immersed in a new project: impersonating and starring in the leading man in the novel Monte Cristo, based on the classic by French novelist Alejandro Dumas.
