In 2010, On was born in the Swiss Alps with the aim of changing the world of running. This is how they create sports shoes, with state-of-the-art technology for soft landings, followed by explosive takeoffs, with the sensation of running on clouds.
Jorbel Jacson Griebeler met On in a store in Brazil. He caught her eye and bought it. Trying them on made him feel comfortable and when people started asking him about his shoes, he saw a business opportunity. He investigated that the brand was not represented in Paraguay and thus began the negotiation of bringing it to the country, so that people would know about this comfortable and high-quality sports shoes.
“We are very happy and proud to add a great player like Roque Santa Cruz to our team, who is an idol of mine and of many other people in Paraguay and the world”, reveals the businessman about the incorporation of the Paraguayan soccer player as an ambassador for On, which in Switzerland is a well-known brand.
In November 2019, tennis player Roger Federer became a strategic partner for its founders and for the On team in the development of a new range of footwear. “On has a line for professional running and walking as well. It can even be worn with casual clothing”, says Jorbel.
On has been present in our country for five years, competing in a growing sports market. Before the pandemic, thousands of people participated in the bullfights, which were gaining more and more popularity. Outdoor walks are also highly practiced. “People are increasingly aware that you have to take care of your body and these shoes provide comfort and stability when walking. It has state-of-the-art technology”, he details.
In the exclusive store in Asunción (Prof. Delia Frutos de González c/ Avda. Aviadores del Chaco), the public will find an important variety of designs, models and colors that suit the taste of each one.
Roque Santa Cruz joins Magali Páez, Jessica Torres and Larissa Riquelme as an influencer for On. “Being an ambassador is a responsibility and also an honor”, declares Roque. “It is to convey the enjoyment that wearing these shoes truly represents, having a product that competes in innovation, technology and it is also very nice to be able to wear them, because they have quality and maximum application of technology to care for the footprint, the feet of athletes and it corresponds to the demands that athletes have to work and be comfortable with what we wear”, adds the Paraguayan soccer idol.
