Six half-season looks with clothes you already have in your closet

Six half-season looks with clothes you already have in your closet

With the change of season we all get crazy and we want to get hooked on the new trends to be up to date. Instagram and the style prescribers give us the keys when it comes to combining new trends, but it is not always easy (or cheap) to be fashionable.

Now that our pockets are tighter and shopping isn't among our priorities, it's time to review our closet and give a second life to those clothes we already have and with which we can get spectacular looks for go to the last one without spending a single euro.

With temperatures that invite you to wear non-stop mid-season looks, check out these trends that we propose and you will be the most stylish of the season thanks to the clothes that were already in your closet and you had not yet decided how to combine them.

An 'outfit' in camel tones with the classic cardigan

We know that camel is a very autumnal colour, it is part of the trinomial of the season: grey, black and camel. But this season is especially relevant thanks to the strong irruption of leather effect trends in this color. But it is not necessary that you go shopping to be up to date. You have in your closet that eternal cargo pants or that slouchy that you haven't given much use to either. Until now.

Combine those camel pants that you already have with a basic white t-shirt (how many do you have in your closet?) and give it a casual touch with that cardigan that you no longer wear and that you had planned to keep as clothes to be around the house. You can combine it with military-style boots (if you were the one who fell in love with them) or with white sneakers, our favorite option.

Jeans and sweater, the usual basics

Six transitional looks with clothes that already you have in the closet

No matter what season it is, jeans are always a trend and you can always get a great look with them. As you will have millions in your closet, of all colors and faithful to all trends, choose the one you like best and wear it with any of the V-neck jumpers you already have in your closet. They are two garments so basic that you probably have several and can make multiple combinations.

We like the proposal that combines jeans with a gray sweater, a maxi bag in burgundy tones (or a strong color that breaks up the outfit) and high heels, but you can always wear it with sneakers that will look spectacular.

Plaid blazer and jeans

We continue with jeans as the garment that commands the look. On this occasion, we look at María Pombo and how she gives her informal look a buzz by betting on a checked blazer, a very fashionable print this season. But forget about buying any clothes. You have the jeans and the turtleneck vest too. The blazer? Of course, it's not the first time that the check is a trend and it is very likely that you already bought a blazer with this pattern a few seasons ago. Rescue it from the bottom of your closet and bring it back to life. Nothing happens if the jacket that you find among your clothes is not checkered, only the jacket already gives the look a great style.

Your summer dress, also in autumn

Autumn arrives and you feel that you have to say goodbye to the dresses that have accompanied you throughout the summer. Mistake. Unless they are excessively summery, you can continue using them as a mid-season garment. Bet on combining them with a leather jacket (by now you must have several in your closet) and give it a chic touch with accessories. We like to go for a monochromatic dress, to which we add a belt, combined with a black leather jacket and low-cut ankle boots.

The flowing skirt with the classic blazer

You bought that skirt because you read in a post that it was ideal but the truth is that you only wore it twice because you don't know what to combine it with. It is so vaporous that you think that it can only look good on you if you wear it with high heels and in a super formal event. This halftime proposal will break all your prejudices. It does not matter that it is in raw tones (maybe even that is better), combine it with a sweater in the same tone and match it with any of the blazers you have in your closet for more special occasions.

The oversize cut of the jacket and the vaporousness will create textures that you have to shade by framing your waist. Bet on a large buckle belt or a fanny pack if you were one of those who signed up for this accessory.

'Total black' with a basic white t-shirt

We have come to the conclusion that this season you are going to give your leather jacket a lot of play, especially if you are a fan of total black looks. Match your jacket with that black pleated skirt from three springs ago and combine it with sneakers. You will be comfortable and super fashionable because your basics merge with the strong trend of wearing sneakers in more and more outfits.
