Carolina Marín was injured on May 28 during a training at Car de Madrid.In an exit with rotation the foot was stuck to the ground and rotated the rest of the leg.
He went to the Cemro Clinic with Anders Thomsen, his second coach, where the first tests confirmed the break but the doctors decided to take a period of 48 hours to see the evolution and assess the possibility of a conservative treatment that would allow him to reach the games.Finally he could not help going through the operating room and renouncing Tokyo's Olympic appointment.
